Crickets

Sunday, July 13, 2008
I can tell it is summer because we have crickets in our house and they play their music all the time so we feel like we are camping. They are so kind. Yesterday I trapped one in the bathroom under a cup, all but his antennae that stuck out the side. I intended to ask Asia to take him outside for me (that is her specialty) but I forgot. In the middle of the night I got up to go to the bathroom and saw the cup there on the floor except now the cricket was escaping. I didn't know whether someone had jarred the cup or if he had super cricket strength and had lifted it to free himself. I would have caught him again, but he was too fast.
In the morning I went to the bathroom and there was the cup, with the antennae sticking out. I asked everyone if they had captured a cricket this morning, but no one fessed up. I was sure I was awake when I saw that cricket escaping, I don't generally fall asleep at the toilet, especially when the reason I was in there was due to insomnia.
Maybe... the super cricket, saw his folly and climbed back under the cup.

Good News, Bad News

Tuesday, July 8, 2008
Ha! I remembered!
The good news is: I got a full tuition scholarship. HOORAY!!
The bad news is: I have to take 12 credits. Scary.

Blogs about stuff

I want to be a blogger, I really do. And I try. I sit down, fingers on keyboard, mind open, ready to start pontificating. But it just doesn't really work out for me. I am not witty like some people. I don't have funny baby stories to tell. And my news is so un-newsy. Try as I might, my words just aren't very typey.
See. I had some wonderful purpose to this blog, but now it is lost to me.
I don't know what to say now. SO I should just stop typing.

The Farmers Market

Friday, July 4, 2008

So taking advantage of my new found freedom, I am taking on a summer project. I'm selling Granola at the Provo Farmers Market!! It's not going to make me rich or anything, but it is pretty fun. Asia and Taio are helping too, they are especially good at spending our profits. Some guy told me he was so disappointed that there were no farmers for sale, because he had always wanted one. I should have seen that coming. Perhaps that is the line he uses on all the ladies.

Summer is finally here!!

Wednesday, July 2, 2008
So my spring term classes ended last week. I had planned on taking summer classes, but they canceled the class that I thought was at the perfect time for me. I actually fumed about it for a while. How dare they ruin my beautiful plans of going to school non-stop forever and making myself crazy?! I tried to come up with some way to make some other classes work, but they were just at horrible times that would require lots of hours of my kids at home with grandma. Then Howard said maybe I should just take a break. I said no way, that isn't a choice. I can't take a break, I have it all planned out, I must plug along. Then I started thinking about it and once I started thinking about it, there was no going back. No classes?? Can you imagine the thought? I couldn't even remember what it was like to not have classes. So, I was forced, but I am loving it. Eight weeks of fun here I come.
The initial shock of having nothing to do was rough,
But I am sure I will manage.
